Projects
The Spring Pot project involved developing the suspension cover for the Semi High-Speed Vande Bharat train under Indian Railways. The objective was to meet stringent quality standards and secure prototype approval. Over a 14-month period (May 2022 to July 2023), the team manufactured 24 prototypes, which underwent both Non-Destructive and Destructive testing as per specifications before being dispatched to the client’s facility for final approval. Key stakeholders included the project team, Project Manager, CEO, COO, and the Medha Bogies Pvt. Ltd. production team. The project was successfully completed within budget, with only a one-week extension in timeline.
Note: Due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) between the parties, actual product images and specific project details cannot be disclosed.
The Friction Wedge project focused on developing an Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) component designed to control longitudinal damping forces in broad-gauge freight bogies. The project scope included manufacturing 40 prototypes, with 4 randomly selected units undergoing both Non-Destructive and Destructive testing as specified, followed by dispatch to the client’s facility for final approval. Executed over six months (May 2022 to November 2022), the project engaged the project team, Project Manager, CEO, COO, and the assigned RDSO case officer. It was successfully completed within the planned timeline and budget.
Note: Due to an NDA, product images and specific technical details are not disclosed.
The Elastomeric Pad project involved developing a bonded steel (E250) and rubber product designed to mitigate lateral and longitudinal vibrations in low- and medium-speed bogies. The scope included manufacturing 30 prototypes, with 10 randomly selected units undergoing prescribed Non-Destructive and Destructive testing to qualify for fitment trials. Conducted over a six-month timeline (May 2022 to November 2022), the project experienced a one-month extension due to the unavailability of the RDSO case officer for the prototype visit, concluding in December 2022. Key stakeholders included the project team, Project Manager, CEO, COO, and the assigned RDSO officer. The project was completed successfully and within budget.
Note: Under NDA, imagery and specific details cannot be shared.
The project involved developing a fully integrated Zoho CRM and Zoho Creator-based RFI/RFQ management system to replace the existing Excel-based process, improving accountability, user experience, and data visibility through role-based dashboards. With a budget of ₹18 lakhs, the scope included creating a customized system with distinct access controls and permissions for departments including Sales, Procurement, R&D, Rubber Molding, Foundry, Packaging, and Dispatch. Executed over 10 months (August 2022 to June 2023), the solution was deployed in stages over two weeks and delivered on schedule. Due to increased user count from new hires, contingency reserves of ₹15,000 were utilized. The project was successfully completed with full functionality within the allocated budget.
The MALD Project Management Team were provided a series of project scenarios related to “Pancake Paradise,” a hypothetical food company. The team delivered artifacts such as a Project Schedule, Risk Management Plan, Communication Plan, and Conflict Resolution Strategies on a weekly basis. These scenarios applied PM knowledge and principles along with teamwork, leadership, and time management. The aggregate report compiles all project details and team member contributions.
The study enhanced evacuated tube solar collector (ETSC) performance using twisted tape inserts, phase change material (PCM) around the manifold, and parabolic reflectors. Tests at 0.3–2.0 LPM showed a +10 °C temperature rise with twisted tape and efficiency up to 24.5% at 2 LPM with reflectors. PCM reduced post-noon temperature drop to ~5–8 °C, evidencing thermal storage benefits. The approach supports rural and off-grid energy use cases.
